Etsy Inspired #11

February 26, 2012

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend so far.
Today I'm sharing a simple & graphical card with you. My inspiration for the card came from this wristband.

When I saw this photo, I immediately knew what I wanted to do. I thought I could find all of these colors in my scrap folders of cardstock, and some stitching lines would make a card cool!

Stamp: Signature Stamps (PTI)   Ink: Versa Mark
Paper: American Crafts, Bazill   Accessories: White EP
Tool: Sewing Machine

Well, please ignore my bad stitching... I just wanted to make my stitching lines as close to the edges as possible. But it was difficult for me.:(

Thank you so much for looking. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

TSG Blog Hop Challenge : EGG-stra Special

February 23, 2012

Hi everyone!
It's the final day of this month's TSG Blog Hop Challenges. Today we are showing you a mini set which was illustrated by Melyssa Connolly!

A-tisket a-tasket a green and yellow basket…Melyssa has created the most darling Easter stamp set! This mini-set will be sure to please that egg-stra special person. The sentiment fonts are so whimsically fun and you’ll enjoy coloring these Easter eggs. This is a must have set!

Egg-stra Special is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 9 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

Stamp: EGG-stra Special   Ink: Onyx Black (Versa Fine), Antique Linen (Distress Ink)
Color: Copic Markers   Paper: PTI, Crate Paper (Emma's Shoppe)
Accessories: Ribbon (PTI), Riquid Pearl
Tools: Circles & Lacey Circles Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Tin Types Impression Plate (PTI)

We usually don't celebrate Easter in Japan, but I love Easter related motifs...rabbits, chicks and Easter eggs! This set includes some Easter eggs. I picked up one of them and stamped it three times using masking technique. I chose pastel color scheme on this card, though I normally don't go with it so much.

Would you like to win the new Egg-stra Special stamp sets?
Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. TSG144 - Animal

February 20, 2012

Happy Monday everyone!
It's time for another challenge at the TSG blog. This weeks challenge is brought to us by Jessie, and she challenged us to make a card or project using an animal theme.

I made a CAS card for today. Yes, it's a CAS, but I used 5 TSG stamp sets to make it.

Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento),
Mango Madness, Pink Petunia, Spring Pansy, Sea Breeze (Versa Magic)
Color: Copics   Paper: PTI

Can you identify each image is from what stamp set? If you can, you're definitely a TSG addict. LOL!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using an animal theme and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of the challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (February 27th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG144 so we can check out your beautiful work!

And also, several hours later, you'll find a surprise post on the TSG blog. Hee hee... Keep your eyes on the TSG blog so that you won't miss it!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day.

TSG 142 : Negative Die Cut! & Etsy Inspired #7, #8

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!:)

This weeks challenge at the TSG blog is to make a card or project using a negative die cut. Using a negative die cut is one of my favorite techniques!;)
I made two cards for today. And  for each card, I took my inspiration from a photo I found on Etsy.

The first one was inspired by these cuties. :D

Stamp: Perk Up!, Fabulous (TSG)   Ink: Real Black (Versa Craft)
Paper: PTI   Accessory: Glossy Accents
Tools: Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Big Scalloped Border Die (PTI)

The sketch I used was FTL176. The tiny top hats were made of some scraps of cardstock. Though it is hard to see in the photo, I added some glossy accents on the top hats and the glasses.

Next card was based on this photo.

Firstly, the combination of teal background and red caught my eyes. And then, I thought the stripe was so effective...

Stamp: Buckets Of Love (TSG), Envelope Pattern (Hero Arts)
Ink: Real Black, Brick (Versa Craft)   Paper: PTI, MME
Accessories: Ivory Jute Twine (RCC), Pearl (Kaiser)
Tools: Calssic Heart Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Scallop Scissors

Please head over to the TSG blog for more info about the challenge! I hope you have the time for playing with us this week.:)

Thank you for stopping by!

Check, check!

The orange bike is so cute, isn't it! I loved the striped wall, too. Unfortunately, I have no bike stamp. But I have a Scootin' By set!!:D
Here is my card.

Ink: Espresso (Versa Craft), Antique Linen, Vintage Photo(Distress Ink)
Color: Copic Markers   Paper: PTI

TSG 141 - Inspiration Challenge

February 1, 2012

This weeks challenge at the TSG blog is an inspiration challenge.
Look at this beautiful inspiration photo!

When I saw this photo, I immediately thought of a cherry blossom image in Bloom set. But I found that Angela already used it on her beautiful card. The next set which came into my mind was Blossom By Blossom set. But, I knew that Karen created a lovely card using it last week. Mmmm... What shoul I do?? (LOL!) After a while, I decided to use Dream A New Dream set for my card.

Ink: Onyx Black (Versa Fine), Espresso (Versa Craft)
Color: Copic Markeres   Paper: PTI, MME
Accessories: Chocolate Pearl (Kaiser)
Tools: Sewing Machine, Labels 1 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Corner Rounder Punch
