CASE Study 4th Anniversary Blog Hop

August 28, 2014

Welcome to the CASE Study 4th Anniversary Blog Hop!
I'm so happy to be a part of this awesome blog hop as a past Muse! Thank you to Iwona for inviting me again this year.

The theme of the hop is "inspiration" - Iwona asked us to show our latest inspiration pieces and how we turned them into our paper crafting projects. As I love this kind of challenges so much, I have two cards to share with you today.;)

My first card was inspired by this package design.

I loved the layout and these colors reminded me of Halloween. So here is my take.

Let's count how many times I stamped and masked the ghosts. LOL!! Just kidding! It took me (a little) long time, but I'm pleased with the result.

I stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white and orange EP. I used the Dripping Goo Die-namics (MFT)  (Love it!) for the yellow green panel.

For my next card I chose this image as my starting point.

I'm on the way to improve my watercoloring skill, and wanted to try this transparent look.

Hmmm... I don't think I've achieved my goal yet. But watercoloring is so FUN!

  13. Torico, I like both of your cards, and specially the water-coloured one. Recently I found water-colouring fun again. What are these water-colours that you used, Akashiya Sai? Are they easily blendable? Are they similar to markers?

    1. Thank you for leaving a comment!
They are kind of brush markers and you can get a watercolor look easily by using them with a water brush pen. You can also dip it into water directly, then their ink recover in a few minutes. It may need some practices to blend them perfectly, but I think it isn't difficult. ;)
