MFT September Die-namics Design - Flowers and Foliage

September 22, 2015

For this month's MFT Die-namics Design, we are featuring the Flowers and Leaves Die-namics.

I've got two cards to share with you today. My first card features Flower Medley Die-namics, Falling Leaves Die-namics, and Wild Greenery Die-namics.

I pulled my inspiration for the design and colors from THIS wedding cake. I loved the fresh and pretty colors!

I stenciled on a Smooth White panel with Mini Chicken Wire Stencil and Blu Raspberry & Banana Split Dye inks.  I stamped a piece of Smooth White CS with Swiss Dots Background and Lemon Chiffon Pigment ink, and then I die-cut out two flowers from it using Flower Medley Die-namics. After I layered them, I added a die-cut button which was cut out from Lemon Chiffon CS using Vintage Buttons die-namics. The card stock I used for the leaves are Tickled Pink, Coral Crush, Spearmint, and Lemon Chiffon.

I stamped the "HAPPY" which is from Things with Wings stamp set with Steel Blue Hybrid ink, and added the "birthday" that was die-cut using Brushstroke Birthday Greetings Die-namics from a piece of inked CS. Several rhinestones were added to finish off the card.

For my second card I went with autumn colors.

I used Modern Morocco Die-namics to create the lattice border. I adhered it to a Hot Fudge panel cut with Blueprints 13 and gold embossed a sentiment from Delicate Pretty Poppies stamp set.

I randomly blended Gumdrop Green, Persimmon, and Daffodil Dye inks on Smooth White CS using a ink blending tool and spritzed with a little water. After it dried I die-cut the leaves using Falling Leaves Die-namics, Layered Leaves Die-namics, and Wild Greenery Die-namics. I also cut out a few vellum leaves. I put them together and added a stitched wood button with a bow.

Head over to the MFT blog to see the other DT members have come up with for today!

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)
