MFT September Release Countdown Day 2

August 31, 2015

We are so close to the MFT September Release! All of the new products will be available for purchase TOMORROW at 10:00 pm EDT!

Today I'm showcasing the very cool stamp set & Die-namics designed by Laina Lamb.

For my first card I used Soda Pop stamp set and Soda Pop Bottles Die-namics.
To create my pastel polka dot bottles, I white embossed Polka Dot Background on a piece of Smooth White CS, then die-cut four bottles from it using Soda Pop Bottles Die-namics. I inked each bottle with Limeade, Lemon Drop, Pink Lemonade, and Coral Crush dye inks. I adhered three of them onto a piece of CS which was stamped with Pinstripe Background, then die-cut it with a die from Blueprints 26. I popped up only the Pink Lemonade bottle.
The top panel was die-cut using Stitched Speech Bubble Edges Die-namics and Blueprints 26, and it was stamped with Polka Dot Background and Blu Raspberry Hybrid ink. I stamped a sentiment from Soda Pop stamp set in Blueberry and Chocolate Brown.

I added a little Frosted Lace Stickles to the Pink Lemonade bottle for overflowing soda.

I made a masculine shaker card using Soda Pop stamp set, Soda Pop Bottles Die-namics, and Bottle Caps Die-namics.
The focal panel was made with Fuse Green CS, Primitive Cream CS, Tiny Stars Background stamp, Pinstripe Background stamp, Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, and Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I cut out a bottle from it using Soda Pop Bottles Die-namics, applied a sheet of acetate, and adhered a Wild Cherry label on which I white embossed a sentiment from Soda Pop stamp set.

To get some realistic Coca-Cola look I traced a bottle shape with a pencil, masked the top part of the bottle, and sponged some Vintage Photo Distress ink. I mixed some Gourd-Jus Prills and Heart of Gold Prills for my shaker.
I made three bottle caps using Bottle Caps die-namics and Soda Pop stamp set, and they were distressed with some Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Make sure you visit the MFT blog for more info about the products revealed today. I know you'd like to see Bottlecap Letters Die-namics and Bottlecap Numbers Die-namics, too. ;)

MFT September Release Countdown Day 3

August 30, 2015

It's Day 3 of MFT September Release Countdown! Today I have two cards to share with you.

The first card features Label Maker Sentiments stamp set, Label Tape Die-namics, and Fall Florals stamp set.

First I stamped Balloon Strings Background onto a Smooth White card base with Grout Gray Hybrid ink. Then I stamped some flowers and leaves from Fall Florals stamp set to create my own background. (The ink colors I used are listed at the bottom of this blog post.)

You can create a variety of sentiments with combining the words in Label Maker Sentiments stamp set. I chose "YOU'RE", "A", "SPECIAL", and "FRIEND" for my card. I stamped each word onto the matching die-cut piece in black and popped them up with some foam tape.

My next card features Thankful Friend stamp set & Die-namics, Thanks So Very Much stamp set, and Stitched Oval Frames Die-namics.

I used Stitched Oval Frames Die-namics to create a shaker frame. For the background in the frame I blended In the Buff and Berrylicious dye inks on a piece of Primitive Cream CS and stamped a sentiment from Thanks So Very Much stamp set in Hot Fudge.

I love that Thankful Friend Die-namics includes three tiny leaf dies. They are so pretty and very useful for shaker cards! I also used some Gourd-Jus Prills for my shaker. The Prills is my new favorite! And those colors are literally gorgeous and perfect for autumn!!

Make sure that all of the new products will be available for purchase on September 1st at 10:00 pm EDT.
