Create New Patterns with a Stencil - MFT Release Replay

March 8, 2016

Today the MFT Creative Team is taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present!

I decided to pick up the Geometric Grid Stencil and tried creating a new pattern with it.

First I stenciled the Geometric Grid pattern on a piece of Smooth White CS with Lemon Drop Premium Dye ink.

Then I shifted the stencil as shown in the photos below, and inked again with Limelight Premium Dye ink.

Here is a result!

I tried some other combinations of ink colors and ways to layer the pattern. The ink colors I used are Lemon Drop x Limelight, Pink Lemonade x Summer Splash, Summer Splash x Blue Yonder, and Pink Lemonade x Pink Lemonade (from left to right).

I made two cards using two of these new patterned papers. (The other products I used are listed at the bottom of this blog post.)

Stencil is a good way to add some texture to your creations. And don't you love it when you can create multiple patterns from one stencil? ;)

Head over to the MFT blog to see what the other DT members have come up with for today! I'm sure you will be inspired by their fabulous new ideas and creations.

Thank you for stopping by!
