Balloon Slider Card : MFT April Card Kit Countdown Day 2

April 19, 2016

Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT Jungle Friends Card Kit Countdown!
Today, we're featuring "Out of the Box" looks – cards that combine the products included in the kit with previously released MFT products.

I combined the kit with the Tiny Stars Background stamp and the Birthday Balloons Die-namics to create a fun birthday card.

I die cut a Smooth White panel with a stitched rectangle die from the Blueprints 24 Die-namics, and stamped the top half of it with the Tiny Stars Background using Lemon Drop Premium Dye ink. I cut out a slider track using the Surf & Turf Die-namics and made a notch to pull out a slider using the smallest die from the Circle STAX 2 Die-namics.
The elephant was die cut from Blu Raspberry CS and the grasses were cut from Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green CS using the Jungle Friends Die-namics. After I adhered them to the Smooth White panel, I stamped a sentiment from the Jungle Friends stamp set with Gravel Gray Premium Dye ink.
I cut a strip of Smooth White CS to make a slider, drew a balloon string with a black gel pen, and put it underneath the top panel. I die cut a Poppy balloon using the Birthday Balloon Die-namics, attached two Spin and Slide Discs to the backside of it, and adhered it to the slider strip. I popped up the top panel on a Lemon Drop card base with foam adhesive.
When you pull out the slider strip, the balloon goes up! :)

The Jungle Friends Card Kit will be available for purchase TONIGHT at 10:00 pm EST. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see the full reveal of the kit and what the DT have come up with for today!
