CASE Study #171 & CAS-ual Fridays #124

December 22, 2013

Today's card was inspired by CASE Study Challenge #171 and CAS-ual Fridays #124 (Happy New Year).

When I saw this weeks inspiration photo at the CASE Study Challenge blog, I thought of a floral patterned paper in What's Up 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey. I dug up a set of alphabet chipboard (Maya Road) that had been neglected for a loooooong time (lol) and picked up the letters "n","e", and "w". Then I covered them with the patterned paper.
The words, "HAPPY" and "YEAR", are from Greetings For The Holidays set by Hero Arts.

Thank you for visiting!

Love You

December 21, 2013

Today I am sharing a CAS card I made just for fun.
Believe it or not, my starting point for today's card was THIS photo. In my original idea, I wanted to use the color combo (grey and coral pink), bold stripes, and chevron or polka dots. BUT... look at the result!

This is FAR from what I had in my head at the start (LOL!!), but I still love it!:) I don't know about you, but it rarely happens to me that my original idea turns into the real. It is a fun part of crafting, right?;)

The supplies I used are linked below.
Thank you for stopping by!

It's been awhile since I used my Copic markers last time and I needed a little coloring therapy!

The sketch I used for this card is Unscripted Sketches #235. For the clouds, I used a Wonky Scalloped Border Die-namics (MFT). The tiny hearts were cut out using Mini Hearts dies by Simon Says Stamps.
The cherub is from Be My Valentine set (TSG). This set is still available at the TSG store and you can get 25% off by using the code "goodbye" at your check out. Make sure to grab your favorite TSG stamp sets while you can!!
The word "Love" is from Talk Bubbles 2 stamp set (Simon Says Stamps). It was stamped in Versa Mark ink and was white embossed. To finish off the card I added a few red rhinestones.

I am entering this card to the following challenges.

Snowflake Thanks Card

December 18, 2013

Today's card was inspired by the inspiration photo over at the latest Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge (Sweet Snowflakes) and CAS-ology #75 (Knit).

I used a Zig Zag Embossing Folder (Lyfestyle Crafts) for the background because I thought it would look like knitting. The snowflakes are from Merry Christ-moose set (TSG). They were stamped in Versa Mark ink and were heat-embossed with White EP and Powder EP.

For the sentiment, I used Thanks stamp set and a matching die (Simon Says Stamps). I die-cut "thanks" twice from white & kraft cardstock, then layered them. "for all you do" was stamped onto a strip of vellam with Gingerbread ink (Versa Magic), and the stitching lines were added using a white gel pen.

I'm also entering this card to Addicted to CAS challenge #28 - Snowflakes.
