Inspired By... #108

February 26, 2014

I have a CAS card to share with you today. I was totally inspired by the London themed illustration that I saw over at the Inspired By Challenge #108.

The first thing that came into my mind was London fog. So I immediately decided to use London Fog ink (Memento) on my card. Ha ha! Of course I had to use the red of London buses and black was necessary to get a beautiful contrast.

The stamp sets I used were Many Thanks and On Target (Mama Elephant). I am very very happy with how this card turned out!!:D

You Keep Me Anchored

February 23, 2014

I received some new MFT goodies last Friday and just wanted to play with them.

I used Let's Get Nautical Die-namics and Go Overboard stamp set to make this card. I LOVE both of them so much that I will use them again in the near feature! The patterned papers are from Rough & Tumble paper pad (Carta Bella). The background panel was embossed using a Twinkle embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts). Four wooden stars (Studio Calico) were added to embellish the chevron circular panel.

Curtain Call Challenge : Cozy Quilt

February 22, 2014

Just popped in to share a card I made for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge : Cozy Quilt.

To make a "quilted" frame, I used a pierced rectangle die and a pierced square die (MFT). I die-cut a star shape out from the center piece, added the stitched line with a gel pen, and put a piece of polkadot pp underneath. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, which was stamped on a small tag (Spellbinders). I used a wood button (Prima) and some jute twine for embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

CQC #229

February 21, 2014

Well...I hope you are not fed up with my addiction to Thick Stripes (Impression Obsession). Yes, I used it again! LOL!!

It is rare that I play along with a color challenge. But this weeks color palette over at ColorQ (CQC #229) made me want to try!
As I have no SU! products, I picked up some ink pads that are similar to the colors in the palette from my drawer. (The ink pads I used are listed below.) I'm not sure if this was appropriate or not though, I used Gold Coin cardstock (Bazzill) instead of Summer Starfruit.

Hopefully I will share a card NOT using the Thick Stripes stamp next time. ;)
