Black & White Christmas Card

October 29, 2014

As I received three packages of new craft supplies (from SSS, PTI, and MFT) a few days ago, I had to play with some of them! :D

Black and white combo may not be traditional for Christmas cards, but I love the classy and elegant feel of it when it is used for Christmas projects, like THIS, THIS, and THIS. Since I saw THIS gift box on Pinterest months ago, I had been wanting to CASE it. The newly released Snowfall Background stamp (MFT) is perfect for it, isn't it?

I embossed the white panel using the Linen & Canvas Impression Plate (PTI). It may hard to see in the photo above, but this subtle texture makes a big difference!
After I stamped the row of trees from BG Basics : Evergreens (PTI), I masked it and stamped the Snowfall Background (MFT).

The "Christmas" was cut out from a glitter paper (LOVE this champagne gold!!) with the Wet Paint Holiday Die (PTI). I cut out two more "Christmas" from thin white CS and glued them together.
The word "BLESSINGS" is from the Wet Paint Holiday stamp set (PTI). It was stamped onto a strip of black CS and was white embossed.

To finish off the card I added a tiny rhinestone and a bow.

Halloween Treats Wrappers

October 24, 2014

I was busy wrapping some Halloween treats last night! In Japan it's not general that children visit neighbor's houses for trick or treating (some children do it as a part of Halloween party though). But I like exchanging tiny treats with my friends, and the best thing for me is that it's good cause for doing paper crafting.;)

I packed some candies in small plastic bags and wrapped them with these wrappers.
I stamped a striped pattern (Impression Obsession) onto the wrapper base in Versa Mark ink. Then I stamped the Halloween icons, which are from a TSG stamp set, in black.
For the flap I cut off the bottom edge with the Dripping Goo Edge Die-namics (MFT) and stamped a sentiment from the Spooky Sentiments set (MFT) in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed.

Here are the colors of cardstock and embossing powder I used.

Christmas Stockings in Non-Traditional Colors

October 21, 2014

I cut out these stockings several days ago with trying to get rid of my OLD Christmas/winter themed papers. (I don't even remember where these papers are from.) Then I had neglected them because I didn't get a good idea for a layout. But this weeks Merry Monday Challenge gave me a cue to use them. The challenge theme is "Non-Traditional Christmas Colors"!:D

My card base is Peanut Cluster (Bazzill), which is also a non-traditional Christmas color.;) The main panel was stamped the Fresh Cut Pebble pattern (Hero Arts) in Soft Sand ink (Hero Arts) and was cut out with a Stitched Rectangle die (Lil' Inker Designs). The sentiment is from the Swanky Snowdudes set (Paper Smooches). The smaller rectangle panel was cut out from Hot Fudge CS (MFT).
I used the Stocking Dies (Paper Smooches) to cut out the stockings. Love the whimsical shape! I added a few sequins and rhinestones to embellish them.

I'm also entering this card to this weeks Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge (Anything Goes).

Thank you for visiting!
