Circle Frame Shaker Card

April 15, 2015

Have you been enjoying MFT's "Shakers Gonna Shake" week? It's Day 3 and we are featuring Frame Shaker Cards today.

Making a shaker card using a frame is pretty basic and simple. With using MFT's Frame Die-namics (like Rectangle Frames, Square Frames, Stitched Rectangle Frames, Stitched Square Frames, Stitched Circle Frames, Precious Polaroids, etc...), it would be easier and fun!

For today, I made a circle shaker card using the Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics , Super Boy stamp set, and You're Super stamp set. I love putting a little scene to the inside of a frame!:)

Let me show you how to make this card with step-by-step photos.

  • Make a 4-1/2" square card base.
  • Pencil a circle line using the largest die from the Circle STAX 1 Die-namics.
  • Pencil a horizontal line using a ruler.

  • Finished the cool night cityscape! :D

  • Die cut a piece of acetate with the circle die and adhere it onto the backside of the frame.
  • Apply some foam tape around the window. If you were impatient, 3D Foam Sheets would make this process easier. (I haven't tried it, because I'm very patient. LOL!)
  • Put some sequins and glitter, and adhere the card base to the frame.
  • Add the Super Boy and speech bubble to the front.

Here is a side view of the card.

Head over to the MFT blog for more inspiration and how to enter to the prize! And you can find some ingredients for making shaker cards HERE.;)
