MFT Color Challenge #39

February 11, 2016

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the latest color challenge (Color Challenge #39) at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog.

My thinking process went like this when I saw this color palette.
- Two warm colors (Cotton Candy and Wild Cherry) and two cool colors (Summer Splash and Cement Gray). The warm colors would pop against the cool colors. As Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I will use Cotton Candy and Wild Cherry for hearts. Then the cool colors can be used for a background. Wait... I don't have Cotton Candy CS......(looked through my crafty stuff.) Yay, I have a pack of Sweetheart Sequins Mix! I'll make a shaker card! And a gray striped pattern paper from the Painted Prints Smitten paper pack will match well with Wild Cherry. Summer Splash? How can I incorporate this color? No idea... OK, hopefully I will get a good idea while making a card. (LOL!)

Then here is the result.

The white frame was made with the Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX Die-namics and the Stitched Square STAX Die-namics. I added several Wild Cherry hearts cut with the Tag Builder Blueprints 3 Die-namics along with the sequins for my shaker. The sentiment is from the Love You More stamp set and it was white embossed on a Summer Splash panel cut with the Blueprints 20 Die-namics. I also added a polka dot heart, that was made with patterned paper from the Dots & Stripes Sorbet paper pack and the Stitched Heart STAX Die-namics, and a bow.

Head over to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration! :)

Thank you for stopping by!
