MFT December Card Kit Day 2

December 20, 2016

As I said yesterday, the MFT December Card Kit, Fancy Flowers released last week and we are showcasing the kit yesterday and today.
Today we're featuring "Out of the Box" looks – cards that combine the products included in the kit with previously released MFT products.

To create my first card, I stamped and white embossed the flowers and leaves from the Fancy Flowers stamp set on a Kraft panel and colored them with Copics. I also added some white spots here and there using a white pigment marker.

I rarely do this, but coloring with Copics on Kraft CS gives interesting look!
I colored a piece of Smooth White CS using a pink and an aqua Copic Markers, then die cut out the word "SIMILE" from it. I cut out two more "SIMILE"s and glued them together, then adhered it to the stamped panel.

For my second card, I went with the No-line Coloring technique. It was a little surprise for me that these funky flowers got an elegant look with this technique.
I cut a panel from Blending Card and cut off the bottom part using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics. Then I stamped the flowers and stems with Antique Linen Distress Ink using the masking technique and colored them with Copics.

After I stamped a sentiment from the Deepest Sympathy stamp set in Black Licorice, I adhered the panel to a Smooth White card base as well as a panel of patterned paper.

Head on over to the MFT blog to see what the kit contains and for more inspiration from the other DT members!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
