Smile - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 310

December 7, 2016

Today I'm sharing a card I made for this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC 310).

This weeks sketch is so simple and have a lot of possibilities. I used the Polar Bear Pals stamp set and the Icebergs Die-namics for my focal point and put a large word "Smile" from the Sending Hugs Die-namics instead of the horizontal rectangle element in the sketch.

I cut a panel from Ranger Watercolor paper using the Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, daubed some Limeade Premium Dye ink over top half of it, and spritzed it with a little water. I die cut another rectangle panel from Smooth White CS, cut off the top half, and inked the top edge with a little Berrylicious Premium Dye ink. The icebergs were cut out from Smooth White CS, inked with Berrylicious ink, and adhered to the background panel.
The polar bear was stamped, colored, and cut out with the matching die. I adhered him to the background panel with foam tape along with the icy ground panel.

I blended Lemon Drop and Coral Crush Premium Dye inks on a piece of white card stock, and cut out the word "Smile" from it. I cut out two more "Smile" and glued them together for thickness.

I cut a large rectangle panel from gingham paper and matted it with a panel of Coral Crush CS.The left edge of the Coral Crush panel was cut with the Stitched Scallop Edges Die-namics.
I added some bakers twine and a die-cut snowflake along with a button for embellishment.

Head on over to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. I hope you'll play along with us this week! :)
