MFT July Release Countdown Day 4

July 8, 2017

Welcome to Day 4 of the MFT July Release Countdown! Today I'm introducing my new stamp set & Die-namics, Happy Hippos!

Celebrate your loved one's special day with the cute hippos and little birds! The Happy Hippos Stamp set contains four hippos, three little birds, and several accessory images to create happy birthday scenes. Dress up the hippos with the party hats and/or bow. Spoil the little hippo with gift, layered cake, and cupcakes galore! :)

I have two cards to share with you today. The first one is a slider card.

I tied the balloons to the back of a hippo. So he floats up when you pull up the tab! :D:D

I used the new Mini Cloud Edges Stencil, which will be revealed a few days later on the MFT blog, to create my cloudy sky background. It's great for creating a scene on a smaller panel! The tiny stars were cut with a die from the Balloon Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics.

The wavy water panel was cut from vellum using the Surf & Turf Die-namics and I daubed a little Blu Raspberry ink to the edge.

My second card is not a birthday card. Some of the sentiments included in the set can be used for non-birthday themed cards.

I had so much fun creating this card, even though I had to do a lot of masking. Ha ha! I just thought that a crowd of hippos would be cute and it would match with the sentiment.

Make sure that all the new products will be available for purchase on July 11 at 9:00 pm EDT
Head on over to the MFT blog to see all the products revealed today and for more inspiration from the DT. Don't forget to leave a comment there for your chance to win a prize!
