MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 415

December 12, 2018

Hello! Today I'm going to share a card that I made for this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

For the vertical rectangle element in the sketch, I masked and stenciled a stripes pattern using the Envelope Buddy Stencil and Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass and Broken China). I added some faux spattering using the Distressed Patterns stamp set and Gravel Gray Premium Dye Ink.

I used a flower image from the newly released Brilliant Blooms stamp set for the circle element. I heat embossed it on watercolor paper with white embossing powder, watercolored and cut out with the matching die. I adhered it with thin foam squares adding the leaves cut with the Grand Greenery Die-namics.
The sentiment is from the From the Heart stamp set. It was heat embossed on Steel Grey CS and cut out with a strip die from the Hearts in a Row - Vertical Die-namics. I added several sequins to finish off the card.

Friends at First Sip - Dec 2018 MFT & Friends

It's time to shop! The MFT December Release is live and available for purchase now!

I'd like to share another card featuring the new Friends at First Sip stamp set & Die-namics. I made a scene that two girls and a dog are in front of a coffee shop.

First I cut a panel out of Summer Splash CS with the second large die from the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and blended some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink over the top half of the panel. I added two Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames cut from Whip Cream CS and inlaid Gravel Gray pieces to make windows. For the ground panel, I stenciled the English Brick Wall on Grout Gray CS with Tea Dye and Brushed Corduroy Distress Inks. I die cut the awning from Whip Cream CS using the new Boutique Die-namics and colored with a Copic Marker. I slightly bend it and applied foam tape to only the top portion.

I stamped the images on Neenah Solar White CS with Hot Fudge Hybrid Ink, colored with Copic Markers, and cut out with the matching dies. I adhered them to the scene panel with foam tape.
I added a panel cut out of Hot Fudge CS using the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics, then adhered it to a Whip Cream card base. I stamped the sentiment on Grout Gray CS, cut it out with a die from the Fishtail Flag Frames Die-namics, and added it to the focal panel.

Vellum Shaker Card - MFT December Release Countdown Day 1

December 11, 2018

It's the final day of the MFT December Release Countdown. All the new products that we have been showcasing this past five days will be available for purchase tomorrow at 10:00 am EST!

Today I'm sharing a shaker card with you that I made using the Brilliant Blooms stamp set, the Beautiful Die-namics, and the Hello, Beautiful stamp set.

To create this card, I blended Mustard Seed, Abandoned Coral, and Festive Berries Distress Inks on a panel of Ranger Watercolor Paper and adhered it to a Smooth White card base. I stamped and heat embossed the flowers from the Brilliant Blooms stamp set on Heavyweight Translucent Vellum, then cut it with the largest die from the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics.
I die cut a Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame out of foam sheet and adhered it to the inked panel. I put some Crystal Clear Confetti, sealed with the vellum panel, and added another frame cut out of Smooth White CS.

The word "beautiful" was cut out from Persimmon CS, and I added a Smooth White mat underneath it. I heat embossed the words "Inside & Out," which is from the Hello, Beautiful stamp set, onto Persimmon CS and cut it out with a die from the new Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namcis. I adhered them to the vellum panel with Scor-Tape.

Wobbling Owl - MFT December Release Countdown Day 2

December 10, 2018

It's Day 2 of the MFT Release Countdown. We're so close to the release day, December 11 at 10:00 am EST
We still have a lot of fabulous products to share with you. Make sure you visit the MFT blog for the full reveals of the new products and for more inspiration from the DT.

I'm sharing a fun interactive card with you today. It features the Forever & Owlways stamp set & Die-namics.

The owls in the Forever & Owlways stamp set are so cute, and I love that it includes a pair of tiny stamps to add a movement to the owl images. (I mean the tiny images that I stamped around the left owl.) Those stamps and the sentiment inspired me to use a mini action wobble spring.

To create my background scene, I masked off a circular portion of a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper and blended Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. I spattered some white paint over it after the inks dried, then peeled off the mask. I cut it with the second large die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

I stamped the images on Neenah Solar White CS with Hot Fudge Hybrid Ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and cut out with the matching dies. After adhering them to the inked panel, I added the die-cut hearts and covered them and owls' eyes with Glossy Accents.
The sentiment was heat embossed on Jellybean Green CS and was cut out with a fishtail strip die from the Hearts in a Row - Horizontal Die-namics.

Inside Tunnel Card - MFT December Release Countdown Day 3

December 9, 2018

Welcome to Day 3 of the MFT December Release Countdown.
Today I'm sharing an inside tunnel card with you that I made using the adorable Fox and Friend stamp set & Die-namics.

For the card front, I made a scene on a circle panel cut with the Circle STAX Set 2 Die-namics. I stenciled the clouds with Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink and added the grass cut out of Field Day CS with the Grassy Hills Die-namics. I stamped the fox on X-Press It Blending Card with Hot Fudge Hybrid Ink, colored him with my Copic Markers and colored pencils, and cut out with the matching die. I also added three butterflies, that are from the Adorable Elephants stamp set, around him. I added a Green Room mat underneath my focal panel and adhered to the card front.
The word "FRIEND" was die cut out from Kraft CS using the Words for Friends Die-namics.

When the card is opened, a dimensional woodland scene pops up. I followed a great tutorial by Jennifer McGuire to create this.

We're halfway to the big day! All the new products will be available for purchase on December 11 at 10:00 am EST.

Let's Have a Coffee Break - MFT December Release Countdown Day 4

December 8, 2018

Welcome to Day 4 of the MFT December Release Countdown! Today my card features my new stamp set & Die-namics from Birdie Brown line, Friends at First Sip.

The Friends at First Sip stamp set contains two girls, three dogs, and 7 other accessory images to build scenes. The 6 sentiments feature friendship with a coffee theme. :) The new Boutique Die-namics (You can see it on the MFT blog today.) is a good match to this set.

I combined the set with the Spring Scene Builder Die-namics to create a park background scene. First I cut a panel out of Smooth White CS using the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics. I stenciled clouds on the top half of the panel with Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink and masked the area. I blended some Tea Dye Distress Ink over the bottom half portion and spattered some dark brown watercolor paint to create the ground. I die cut a grass border, a hill, and three bushes from Field Day, Green Room, and Sour Apple CS and put them together.

All the images were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and were colored with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the matching dies and adhered to the panel.

Head on over to the MFT blog to see the full reveal of the set, as well as the other new products revealed today.
All the new products will be available for purchase on December 11 at 10:00 am EST.

Leaping Sheep Slider Card - MFT December Release Countdown Day 5

December 7, 2018

The MFT December Release Countdown has begun! It may be the busiest time of the year for you. But, make sure you visit the MFT blog every day for the next five days as we are going to showcase a lot of gorgeous new products!

Today I have a fun interactive card to share with you that features the Over the Moon for Ewe stamp set & Die-namics and the Leaping Slider Channels Die-namics.

The Leaping Slider Channels Die-namics contains five different curved channel dies. I used two of them and put three sliders on my card. When the card is tilted, the three sheep go back and forth.

To create my background, I stenciled the clouds with Spun Sugar and Milled Lavender Distress Inks on a Smooth White panel cut with the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. After I made the slider mechanisms, I stamped the sentiment on a panel cut with the Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics and adhered to the stenciled panel. I adhered it to a card base made out of Cotton Candy CS with foam tape and sprinkled tiny stars cut with a die from the Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics.

All the new products will be available for purchase on December 11 at 10:00 am EST.

Stacked Party Animals - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 413

November 28, 2018

Hi! Today I'm going to share a birthday card that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge. (WSC413).

I interpreted the sketch freely a little. I flipped the sketch and stacked the farm animals from the Party Animals stamp set instead of the five square elements in the sketch.

I stamped the images on Neenah Solar White CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and cut out with scissors. I made a Smooth White card base, masked and stamped the Snowfall Background with Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink, and stamped the sentiment with Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink. I adhered the images with foam tape and added several clear star sequins around the animals.

Cool Christmas - MFT Hits & Highlights

November 27, 2018

Hello! It's time for a Hits & Highlights DT Challenge on the MFT blog. This month we're challenged to create a Christmas card/project featuring blues and purples.

I pulled out the Santa's Elves stamp set & Die-namics for the first time in a while! It's always fun to revisit an old set - I realized that my dies were solid (I mean they're not open inside.) after I stamped and colored the elf. How many years ago was it MFT changed their dies into open style? (I believe the Santa's Elves Die-namics that are available now are open inside.)

To create my background, I heat embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder and blended Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks over them.

I stamped the tree, which is from the Oh Christmas Trees stamp set, with Grapesicle and Grape Jelly Premium Dye Inks to get an ombre look. I embellished it with Nuvo Purple Rain Glitter Drops and added a little bow and a sequin on top. The elf was stamped onto Neenah Solar White CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and was colored with Copic Markers.
The sentiment is from the Snow Globe Sentiments stamp set. I heat embossed it onto Boysenberry CS and cut out with a strip die from the Hearts in a Row - Vertical Die-namics.
