Fierce Friend - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 369

January 24, 2018

Today I'm sharing a masculine card that I made for this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC369).

I used the Jungle Gym stamp set and the Fierce Friends stamp set for my focal panel. I colored the images with Copics, cut them out with the matching dies, and adhered to a circle panel on which I stenciled clouds using the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Berrylicious Dye ink. Then I framed the panel with a Single Stitch Line Circle Frame cut from After Midnight CS.

For the background, I used a patterned paper from the Graphic Grid Paper Pack. The sentiment was heat embossed on Brick Red CS and cut out with the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics. Three tiny stars were added to finish off the card.

YAY! MFT January Card Kit is Live!

Yay!! MFT new card kit, Yay for You is live now!

I have one more card to share with you that features the Yay for You Card Kit.
(NOTE: The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)

A piggy from the Hog Heaven stamp set is commencing happy dance! Haha!
First I cut a Smooth White panel using the Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics and stenciled the stars using the Starry Sky - Horizontal Stencil and Limelight ink. I adhered the panel to a Razzle Berry card base along with a strip of patterned paper

I also added the banners cut with the Celebratory Banners Die-namics, which is the mid-month Free with $60 Die.

I die cut the word "YAY" three times from Boysenberry cardstock using the So Many Yays Die-namics and glued them together. I adhered them to the panel after I stamped a sentiment from the Yay for You stamp set.
I stamped, colored (used Copics and colored pencils), and die cut out the biggy, then popped him up with foam tape. I decided to cover the "YAY" with Purple Rain Glitter Drops to add more festive mood.

New Birthday Project Challenge!

January 18, 2018

A new monthly challenge has started over at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog! It's the Birthday Project Challenge and it features ideas for getting creative with your birthday card making.

Of course, you will have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher by participating this challenge! Make sure you visit the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for more info about the challenge. :)

This month's theme is to use the word "celebrate" on our project. I used the Celebrate Die-namics and paired it with the Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics.

Have I mentioned that I'm obsessed with watercolor pencils recently? I made the watercolor washes on the balloons and the background with my watercolor pencils and a water brush pen. I had so much fun and watercoloring is not stressful for me any longer!

I drew the strings with a gray Copic Multi Liner and stamped a sentiment from the More Essential Sentiments stamp set under the die-cut "celebrate" with Cement Gray ink. Several gold star sequins were added to finish off the card.

Sending You Strength - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 367

January 10, 2018

It's time for a new sketch challenge over at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog.

I played with the newly released Viking stamp set & Die-namics.
I stamped him onto watercolor paper with Kraft Hybrid ink and colored with watercolor pencils. The scene behind him was also painted with watercolor pencils and a water brush pen. I'm getting into watercolor pencils and I've watched a lot of tutorial videos to learn some techniques. You'll see more of my coloring with watercolor pencils this year! :D

The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments stamp set and it was heat embossed on a Brick Red panel cut with a strip die from the new Hearts in a Row - Horizontal Die-namics. The striped paper is from the Kraft Collection - Solid Stripes Paper Pack.

In Paris Shadow Box Card - MFT January New Product Launch

It's time to shop! MFT January Release is available for purchase now!

I made a shadow box card with the In Paris stamp set & Die-namics for this month's Release Class

A shadow box card is really fun to make and the In Paris set is perfect for creating a diorama! A fun part of this card is that it fits in a standard A2 envelope when it is folded as you see in the photo below.

I'm sure the recipient will get excited when she notices that the card is dimensional and will display it with delight.

You can see how to create this card in a downloadable PDF for free or watch the tutorial video HERE.

Heart Maze - MFT January Release Countdown Day 1

January 9, 2018

It's final day of the MFT January Release Countdown! All the new products we've been showcasing this past five days will be available for purchase tonight at 9:00 pm EST!

Today I'm sharing an interactive Valentine's Day card that features the Heart Maze Shape and the Blowing Kisses stamp set & Die-namics.

The Heart Maze Shapes are perfectly coordinated with the Heart Shaker Pouches! I used the previously released Heart Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics to frame my maze, but this month's Free with $60 die, Stitched Heart Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics also works perfectly. I added three red tiny rounded stones instead of Maze Spheres since I thought some red elements would look cute against the pink background.

I stamped the new PI girl onto watercolor paper with Milk Chocolate Hybrid ink and colored her with Copics and watercolor pencils. I added several tiny die-cut hearts around her and covered the hearts with Glossy Accents.

Head on over to the MFT blog to see all the products revealed today and for more inspiration from the DT.
You can also find a printable shopping list there. Print it out, make your shopping list, then set the alarm at 9:00 pm EST tonight. ;)

Monster-Sized Love - MFT January Release Countdown Day 2

January 8, 2018

It's Day 2 of the MFT January Release Countdown. We're so close to the release day! All the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow at 9:00 pm EST.

I have a monster-rously fun card to share with you today.

I love the silly expressions of the monsters in the Monster Sized stamp set. I can't help giggling every time I look at them. :D
I cut a Smooth White panel with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and cut out three heart-shaped openings from it using the Stitched Heart Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics, which is this month's Free with $60 Die-namics. I stamped some monsters and hearts (from the In Paris stamp set) around the openings with Natural ink and adhered the panel to the card base with foam tape.

I blended Distress Inks on the cut-out heart pieces and inlaid them into the openings. The monsters were stamped, colored, and cut out with the matching dies and adhered with foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed onto a Black Licorice panel cut with the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics.
