Vintage Roses with Watercolor Pencils - MFT WSC 377

March 21, 2018

Today I'm sharing a card I made for MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 377.

As you know, I'm obsessed with watercolor pencils recently. This time I tried to achieve a vintage look of roses using the Scribble Roses stamp set. Honestly, I'm not so happy with the result, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway.

I stamped the roses on watercolor paper using Kraft Hybrid ink and colored them with my watercolor pencils. After it dried completely, I added the die-cut "because" and stamped a sentiment from the Because You stamp set with Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink.
I distressed the edges of the panel using a paper distresser and adhered the panel to a Kraft card base. To finish off the card, I added a few faux waterdrops on the roses using Glossy Accents.

Head on over to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. Remember that you'll have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher as a prize by participating in the challenge. :)

Thank you for stopping by!
