Masculine Friendship Card - MFT Color Challenge 92

April 26, 2018

It's time for a new color challenge over at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog

The color palette for the Challenge #92 looked very challenging for me. I rarely use Steel Blue and putting Lemon Chiffon in these colors looked tricky. Humm.....

Here is my take.

To create my card, I made a card base with Blue Yonder card stock and stamped the front with the Transparent Triangles Background using Blue Yonder Premium Dye Ink. Then I made a rounded square opening using the Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square Die-namics and added a Lemon Chiffon frame along with a border of grass. I stamped the sentiment onto a panel cut with the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics and adhered it with foam tape.

I stamped the bear image from the Wild Woodland stamp set with Tea Dye Distress Ink and colored with Copic Markers and colored pencils. I adhered it to the inside of the card as well as a couple of clouds cut with the Cloud 9 Die-namics. I also added another sentiment panel to the inside to make a continuous message.

Head on over to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. You'll have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher by participating in the challenge!

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. I think you did a wonderful job incorporating the steel blue with a touch of lemon chiffon. I also liked the additional banner sentiment inside the card.
