Martini Time! - MFT May Release Countdown Day 5

May 4, 2018

The MFT May Release Countdown has begun! We have a lot of fabulous products to share with you for the next five days. So make sure you stop by the MFT blog every day for the full reveal of the new products and for more inspiration from the DT.

I have two cards to share with you today. Both feature martini --- I don't drink alcohol though. 😅
My first card is a shaker card that uses the Martini Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics and the Martini Shaker Pouch.

Do you remember that the Bokeh Background technique was hot in the card making world a few years ago? If you are very new to this hobby, you may not know it. I immediately thought of that technique when I saw the new Basic Shapes - Circles Stencil. To create my background, I blended Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks on Smooth White card stock. I dried it with a heat gun, then randomly stenciled some circles with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink using a sponge dauber and spattered some white ink.

I die cut out the martini glass from Smooth White card stock and made a shaker using a Martini Shaker Pouch and Mermaid Mix Sequins. The glass was embellished with a little Golden Sunset Glitter Drops and a tiny bow. I die cut the "party" twice, one is from Gold Foil CS and another is from Smooth White CS, and layered them for a shadow effect. The Party Die-namics is this month's Free with $60 die. :)

As I wanted to play with the Basic Shapes - Circles Stencil more, I made one more card.

This time I stenciled the circles with Cotton Candy, Pink Lemonade, and Peach Bellini Premium Dye Inks, and spattered some gold ink. I stamped a glass image from the Martini Time stamp set, which will be revealed on the MFT blog a few days later, and a sentiment from the Spirited Sentiments stamp set with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I also added the die-cut "cheers" and a few gold star sequins.

All the new products will be available for purchase on May 8 at 9:00 pm EDT.
