Have an Ice Day - MFT Color Challenge 101

September 13, 2018

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card that I made for the latest MFT Color Challenge.

These colors made me think of winter. I believe it isn't too early to make a winter themed card as I see a lot of new products featuring winter popping up in the card making world.

I dug out the You Make My Heart Spin stamp set and created a winter scene. The icy pond and the snowy hills were made using the Drifts & Hills stencil, Summer Splash Premium Dye, and Grout Gray Premium Dye Inks. For the sky, I heat embossed some snowflakes from the You Make My Heart Melt stamp set and sponged Summer Splash Premium Dye Ink over them. The images were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic Markers.

After adhering the images, I covered the window of the house and the heart with Glossy Accents, and I also added some Fresh Snowfall Glitter Accents to the snow on the roof.

Head on over to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. You have two weeks to enter, and you'll have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher! Hope you'll play along!

Thank you for stopping by.
