MFT Color Challenge 112

February 28, 2019

Hello! I just popped in to share a birthday card with you that I made for the new MFT Color Challenge.

I used Primitive Cream CS for my card base and stenciled the balloons with Sour Apple and Wild Wisteria Premium Dye Inks. I drew the strings with a dark brown gel pen after I stamped the greeting "Have a Spectacular Birthday" in Milk Chocolate Premium Dye Ink.

I stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY in Tropical Teal and Sour Apple using my Mini MISTI and cut it out with the matching dies. I added three layers of die-cuts cut from Tropica Teal CS under the stamped ones.

The images are from the Spectacular Birthday stamp set. They were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I couldn't help adding some tiny dots to the balloons with a gold gel pen for more festive feel.

Birthday Shaker Tags - MFT Birthday Project Challenge

February 21, 2019

It's time for a new Birthday Project Challenge at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog. This month, we're challenged to feature numbers in a fun way on our birthday themed projects.

I made two tags and using the Tag Builder Blueprints 7 Die-namics, Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-namics, and Circle Shaker Pouches, and placed the numbers to the center of the shakers.
I die cut the tag bases out of Smooth White CS, blended some Distress Inks, and stamped them with the Snowfall Background using gold ink. I punched a hole on top of the tag and added a reinforcer cut with a die from the Fold-Up Tags Die-namics.

I die cut the numbers from patterned paper (Graphic Grid Paper Pack, Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Pastels Paper Pack) using the Stitched Numbers Die-namics and adhered to the tag bases with foam adhesive. I sealed them in Circle Shaker Pouches along with some sequins and added the Happy Birthday Circle Frames. I layered three frames for thickness and shadow effect.

You Get Better with Age - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 425

February 20, 2019

Hello! Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge. (WSC 425)

I used a hot-air balloon and a puppy image from the Up in the Air stamp set for my focal point, and I combined them with the All About You stamp set and the You Trio Die-namics.

I cut a "YOU" out of Smooth White CS and inked it with Limelight Premium Dye Ink to get an ombre look. I added two layers of "YOU" cut from Sour Apple CS under the inked one for a shadow effect. The words "Get Better with Age" were heat embossed on Steel Grey CS and cut out with a banner die from the Hearts in a Row - Horizontal Die-namics.

All the images were stamped on Neenah Solar White CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and were colored with Copic Markers.

You're Incredible! - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 424

February 13, 2019

Hello! A new sketch challenge is up on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog and I'd like to share a card with you that was inspired by the sketch.

To create this card, I cut a panel of Smooth White CS with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and stamped the top half of it with the Radiating Halftone Background using Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink. Then I stamped the cityscape image from the You're Super stamp set in Black Licorice and Cement Gray using my MISTI. I masked the top half portion and daubed some Weathered Wood Distress Ink and added the tiny dots with a Copic Marker for the ground.

I die cut out a stitched circle from the center of the panel using the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and popped it up with foam tape adding a Steel Grey mat cut with the Circle STAX Set 2 Die-namics.
The super cat and speech bubbles were stamped on Neenah Solar White CS with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and were colored with Copic Markers. I cut them with the matching dies and adhered to the panel with thin foam squares.

Party Penguins - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 423

February 6, 2019

Hello! A new sketch challenge is up on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog (WSC 423) and I'm going to share my take on the sketch with you.

The chubby penguins from the newly released Party Penguins stamp set are perfect for the sketch! I simply stamped them using my MISTI, added some details to their party hats with a white gel pen, and added the rosy cheeks with a Copic Marker (E95). I randomly stamped the tiny stars in various colors and added some sparkling spots with Champagne Stickles for a festive feel.
The sentiment was heat embossed on Persimmon CS and cut out with a die from the Blueprints 31 Die-namics

Have a Spectacular Birthday - MFT February Release Countdown Day 1

February 5, 2019

It's the final day of the MFT February Release Countdown. The new products we've been showcasing this past five days will be available for purchase tomorrow at 10:00 am EST!!

I have a cute interactive card to share with you today. It features the Spectacular Birthday stamp set & Die-namics.

I stenciled the spotlight on a Boysenberry panel using the In the Spotlight Stencil and Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, then spattered some green and yellow paint over it to create my festive background. I made a slider mechanism along the bottom edge of the panel using the Spin & Slider Channels Die-namics, Interactive Pull Tabs Die-namics, and Slider Elements. I covered the slider channel with a panel of patterned paper after I attached the dog and the white bear to the slider elements with thin strips of acetate. I adhered the bear to the center and added the sentiment panel cut with the Oval Word Window Frames Die-namics
When the tab is pulled out and pushed back, the dog and the white bear kiss the little bear one after the other as you see below.

It's Day 2 of the MFT February Release Countdown. Today I'm sharing another birthday card with you that features the Birthday Bear & Friends stamp set & Die-namics along with this month's Free with $60 die, Birthday Wishes.

For my background, I blended Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks and spattered it with some red and white paint.
The adorable critters from the Birthday Bear & Friends stamp set were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Hot Fudge Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and cut out with the matching dies. Isn't that rainbow layer cake cute? :D:D

I'm so in love with the Birthday Wishes Die-namics! Beautiful script! I cut it twice from Smooth White CS and layered for a little thickness. I added a little shimmer to it with a Wink of Stella pen.
