Leaping Bunny Card - MFT Hits & Highlights

April 30, 2019

Hello! I have an interactive card to share with you today that I made for this month's MFT Hits & Highlights DT challenge. We're challenged to create interactive cards that spin, slide, and leap.

I combined a cute bunny from the Sweet Spring Friends stamp set with the Leaping Slider Channels Die-namics to create my slider card. My bunny jumps to her (his?) friends as you see in the animated GIF below.

I made my background scene using the Cloud Stencil and the Spring Scene Builder Die-namics (sorry, it has been retired!).  I made a slider mechanism on the hill panel using the Leaping Slider Channels Die-namics and a Slider Element, then added the animals, the little flowers, and the mushrooms to complete the scene. The sentiment panel was added to finish off the card.

MFT Flower Silhouettes Card Kit Release!

April 23, 2019

The new MFT Card Kit, Flower Silhouettes is available for purchase now!

Today I'm sharing another card using the kit for more inspiration for you.
(I'm sorry that this card uses some retired products. I made it before I knew those products were on the retiring list.)

I went with graphical and clean design for this card. I die cut three small panels from Smooth White card stock using the Mod Square STAX and the Mod Rectangle STAX Die-namics (Both of these Die-namics are retired.) and heat embossed the flowers from the Flower Silhouettes stamp set on them. I inked each panel with Distress Inks (Iced Spruce, Fossilized Amber, Fired Brick) and adhered to a Smooth White card base with foam tape.

I inked a scrap of Smooth White CS with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and cut the "HUGS" out of it using the Words for Friends Die-namics, which has also been retired.

MFT Flower Silhouettes Card Kit Countdown Day 2

April 22, 2019

Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT Flower Silhouettes Card Kit Countdown. Today I'm sharing another card I made using the kit, and it uses the Emboss Resist technique.

(NOTE: The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)
To create my card, I die cut a panel out of Smooth White card stock using the Elegant Rectangle STAX Die-namics. After I stamped and white embossed some flower images from the Flower Silhouettes stamp set, I blended Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks over them. Once the inks dried, I stamped more flowers with Wild Wisteria Premium Dye Ink to add some depth to the scene.

I stamped a sentiment from the Beautiful Blessings 2 stamp set with Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink. (I wanted to get the contrast between my ink blended background and the sentiment down a little.) I matted the stamped panel with a large Elegant Rectangle panel, added a Tickled Pink panel, and adhered to a Smooth White card base.

The new Flower Silhouettes Card Kit will be available for purchase tomorrow at 10:00 am EDT.

MFT Flower Silhouettes Card Kit Countdown Day 1

April 21, 2019

Hello everyone! The MFT April Card Kit Countdown has begun! This month's kit is called Flower Silhouettes, and it features beautiful, elegant, and delicate flower stamps.

(NOTE: The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)
For my card today I made a foggy silhouette scene using the masking and the ink blending techniques.
I masked off the bottom portion of a Smooth White card base and blended some Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks on the top portion. Once the inks dry, I stamped the flowers from the Flower Silhouettes Stamp Set in Steel Grey. (I used Steel Grey rather than black because I wanted to make my scene looked foggy.)

I inked a piece of Smooth White card stock with the same Distress Oxide Inks and cut out the "thanks" using the Simply Thanks Die-namics, which is this month's Mid-month Free with $60 die. I also cut the "thanks" twice from Smooth White CS and stacked them up, the inked one on top.

The new Flower Silhouettes Card Kit will be available for purchase on April 23 at 10:00 am EDT. You can also buy the Flower Silhouettes Stamp Set and the matching Die-namics separately.
Head on over to the MFT blog for the full reveal of the kit and for more inspiration from the DT.

Birthday Card for Coffee Lover - MFT Birthday Project Challenge

April 19, 2019

It's time for a new MFT Birthday Project Challenge! This month we're challenging you to create a birthday card/project that includes the drink of your choice - coffee, tea, wine, or cocktails? :D

I have an addiction to coffee, so there was no choice for me other than coffee. LOL!
I cut a panel of Kraft CS cut with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and stamped it with some of the accessory images from the Friends at First Sip stamp set to create my background pattern. I adhered it to a Kraft card base adding a Whip Cream panel cut with the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

I die cut the Happy Birthday Circle Frames three times from Whip Cream CS and stacked them up for thickness. I adhered it to the stamped panel along with two stitched fishtail banners cut from Milk Chocolate and Gumdrop Green CS.
The girl and the dog images were stamped on Neenah Solar White CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and were colored with Copic Markers. I added them to the panel with foam tape.

I also stamped a sentiment from the Friends at First Sip stamp set on Whip Cream CS with Milk Chocolate Premium Dye Ink, cut it out with a die from the Essential Speech Bubbles Die-namics, and added to the panel with thin foam squares. Several sequins were added to finish off the card.

Head on over to the MFT blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. I hope you'll play along with us for your chance to win a $50 gift voucher as a prize!

No-Line Partial Coloring - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 433

April 18, 2019

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to share a card that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

I used the No-line coloring and the partial coloring technique for my card today.
First I cut two panels out of Neenah Solar White CS using the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. Then I stamped the Fresh-Cut Flowers Background on both of them using my MISTI - I stamped one of them with Natural Hybrid Ink as I was going to do no-line coloring and use Copic Markers, and another one was stamped with Kraft Premium Dye Ink as I wanted to make the lines darker and visible.
I layered the panels and die-cut out an oval from the center of the image. I colored only the image stamped with Natural Hybrid Ink with Copic Markers and colored pencils.

I adhered the "frame" panel to a Smooth White card base with foam tape and inlaid the colored piece. I added two sentiment panels and several Clear Round Drops.

Today all the DT members and several fabulous guest designers are sharing projects using some of the new products for more inspiration for you.

I combined the Picture Perfect stamp set with the Photo Booth Strip Die-namics and the #Captions Die-namics for my card today.

First I stamped the front of a Smooth White card base with the Bold Diagonal Stripes Background using Grout Gray Premium Dye Ink
I stamped three images from the Picture Perfect stamp set on Neenah Solar White CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink, cut them out with the Photo Booth Strip Die-namics, and colored with Copic Markers. I cut the Photo Booth Strip from Black Licorice CS, adhered to the card base, then inlaid the colored images. I added three hearts cut with a die from the Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics.

I die cut the "#SMILE" with the #Caption Die-namics in rainbow colors. The sentiment "You're So Cute" was stamped on a small fishtail banner cut with a die from the Blueprints 33 Die-namics. It was added under the "#SMILE" along with another banner cut from Razzle Berry CS. I added some Glossy Accents to the word and the die-cut hearts to finish off the card.

Sending You Bundles of Love - MFT April Countdown Day 3

April 6, 2019

Welcome to Day 3 of the MFT April Release Countdown!
My card for today features the new Bundles of Love stamp set as well as the Window Die-namics. These make a beautiful spring scene.

To create my card, I stenciled the English Brick Wall onto Smooth White CS using Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks, then cut it with the largest die from the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics. I adhered it to a card base and added a grassy border  that I cut from Sour Apple CS with the Grassy Fields Die-namics and inked the top edge with Greem Room Premium Dye Ink.

The window was cut from Smooth White CS. I love that the window panels open left and right - this has so many possibilities! But this time, my windows don't open because I placed a girl in front of the left panel and added a couple of die-cut flowers on the top right corner of the right panel. :P I also added the tiny check curtains that were cut with the Classic Window Die-namics. Actually, these are a little bit short for the windows. But I don't care! It won't be seen as the windows don't open. LOL.

The new PI girl was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and was colored with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment with Milk Chocolate Premium Dye Ink after adhering the window and the girl. I added some tiny spots to the grass with a white gel pen and added white Crystal Drops to the die-cut flowers to finish off the card.

All the new products will be available for purchase on April 9 at 10:00 am EDT
Make sure you visit the MFT blog to see all the products revealed today and for more inspiration from the DT.

Thank you for stopping by today. I will be back on the release day with a card that uses my new stamp set, Picture Perfect. ;)

Little Piggy Shaker Card - MFT April Release Countdown Day 4

April 5, 2019

Welcome to Day 4 of the MFT April Release Countdown! Today I have a shaker card to share with you that uses the new stamp set from Stacey Yacula, Piggy Pebbles.

The critters that Stacey draws are always so adorable! The new piggies melt my heart!! I decided to play with a skipping piggy image for my card and made a rainy, but kind of happy scene for him (her? I don't know. :D).

First I stamped the front of a Desert Storm card base with the new All Lined Up Background using Natural Premium Dye Ink to add a subtle texture. (I'm sorry that it is hardly seen in the photos. :()

I cut watercolor paper with the second large die from the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics. I blended some Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean, and Blueprint Sketch) on the inside piece and spritzed it with some water. Once it dried, I stamped and heat embossed a puddle.
I stamped and colored the piggy image on Neenah Solar White CS, cut it with the matching die, and added it above the puddle with foam tape. I adhered the panel to the card base and made a shaker with some sequins, a piece of acetate, and a frame cut from Smooth White CS.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on Coral Crush CS and cut it with the new Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics, which will be revealed a few days later on the MFT blog.
