Butterfly Kisses - MFT Color Challenge 119

June 14, 2019

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card that I made for MFT Color Challenge 119

As I said before, I'm not so good at color challenges. I usually don't think of any other than flowers for color challenges. LOL! But, I wanted to do something different this time because I had made a flower themed card for yesterday. So I went to Pinterest to search for some inspiration and saw a handmade card featuring a butterfly. (I'm sorry that I didn't save it and can't find it now...) It reminded me of the Butterfly Kisses stamp set, and I decided to play with it.

I used Smooth White CS instead of Sweet Tooth as I don't have it even though I've been being a DT member for years. :P
I made my background with the Card-Sized Confetti Stencil and Limelight Premium Dye Ink, and I framed it with a Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frame cut from Limelight CS. I added a Razzle Berry panel under it and adhered to a card base.

I expanded the girl's wings by layering a butterfly cut with the Flutter of Butterflies - Lace Die-namics. I lightly inked the edges of the butterfly with Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink and heat embossed the whole die-cut with clear embossing powder for a shiny look.

The sentiment was heat embossed on Steel Grey CS, cut out with the Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics, and added to the bottom of the frame with foam tape.

Visit the MFT blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. Remember that you'll have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher by joining in the challenge!

Thank you for stopping by!
