Kicking Off the Countdown to MFT Starry Night Card Kit Release

September 15, 2019

It's time to begin the countdown to MFT September Card Kit Release! The new kit is called Starry Night, and it will be available for purchase on September 17 at 10:00 am EDT.

I combined the Starry Night Card Kit with a yeti from the Beast Friends Stamp Set for my card today. The Starry Night -Vertical Die-namics contained in the kit is perfect for creating a star-filled sky quickly! (The Starry Night - Horizontal Die-namics will also be available for purchase at the same time with the kit!)

I blended some Grape Jelly and Blueberry Premium Dye Inks on Smooth White CS and cut it with the Starry Night - Vertical Die-namics once the inks dry. Then I cut the bottom edge of the panel with a die from the Snow Drifts Die-namics to create a snowy hill to ground the yeti. I applied craft foam under the panel, adhered it to a Smooth White card base, and added the yeti.
After lightly inking the bottom portion of the card base with Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink, I stamped a sentiment from the Starry Night Sentiments Stamp Set in Steel Grey. I added Nuvo Fresh Snowfall Glitter Accents to the hill to cover a messy edge of the craft foam (lol!), but I'm not so sure about the result. I think the glitter accents made the hill look unnatural. :(

Make sure you stop by the MFT blog to see the full reveal of the new kit and for more inspiration from the DT!

Thank you for visiting!

  6. Such a cute lil' beast in front of the Starry sky. Nope, I didn't think the Nuvo made hill look unnatural... looks great.
