You're a Spooktacular Friend - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 454

September 12, 2019

Today I'm going to share a Halloween card that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

First, I made my night sky background on a panel of No-Line Coloring CS by masking and ink blending. Then I added a hill to the scene using the Drifts & Hills Stencil and Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I stamped the haunted house and trees from the Spooktacular Friends Stamp Set with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, and I colored the house with Copic Markers. I also used a white gel pen to color the ghosts hanging from the trees.

I cut some strips of cardstock (Persimmon, Gumdrop Green, and Purple Rain) and adhered them to the lower half of the panel to create a stripe pattern. I then cut it with a rounded rectangle die from the Blueprints 31 Die-namics and adhered to a Grout Gray card base. I heat embossed a sentiment on Purple Rain CS, cut it with a die from the Blueprints 31 Die-namics, and added to the panel. Several sequins finished off the card.

Head on over to the MFT blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. You'll have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher as a prize by joining in the challenge!
