Snow Much Fun - MFT November Release Countdown Begins!

October 31, 2019

MFT November Release Countdown has begun. The more fabulous winter-themed products are going to be released on November 5th! Make sure you visit the MFT blog every day for the next five days for the full reveal of the new products and for more inspiration from the DT.

This month three new stamp sets, as well as the coordinated Die-namics, are going to be released from my Birdie Brown line. My card today features one of them, the Snow Buddies stamp set.

The Snow Buddies stamp set is a set that follows the Fall Friends stamp set. It looks that the girls have grown up a little. :)

To create my background, I made the snowy ground using the Drifts & Hills Stencil and Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink, then blended Sno Cone and Wild Wisteria Premium Dye Inks on the top half of the panel. I also stamped the snowflakes over the sky using the same inks.

The images were stamped on No-Line Coloring CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and were colored with Copic Markers and colored pencils. The Snow Buddies Die-namics includes two types of dies to make a slit to tuck in a character. I tucked in the dog, so he looks like he is rolling in the snow.

After putting the images together, I stamped the sentiment and added some tiny spots to the sky with Nuvo Glitter Drops.

All the new products will be available for purchase on November 5 at 10 am EST

Sending Holiday Cheer - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 461

Hello!
Today I'm going to share a clean and simple holiday card that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

The two circle elements in the sketch made me think of a snowman. So I pulled out the Frosty Friends stamp set to create this card.

I made a white-on-white background for my snowman with several die-cut snowflakes. I also added some glittery spots with Champagne Stickles.
I stamped the snowman on No-Line Coloring CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink, colored with Copic Markers, and cut out with the matching die. He was attached to the card base with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set. It was heat embossed on Wild Wisteria CS and cut out with the Skinny Strips Die-namics.

I rounded the bottom corners of the card base and added some Glossy Accents to the light bulbs to finish off the card.

Head on over to the MFT blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. Hope you'll play along with us this week!

Pop-Up Santa Card - MFT Hits & Highlights

October 29, 2019

For this month's MFT Hits & Highlights DT challenge, we're challenged to combine October Release products with the previously released holiday-themed products to come up with appealing new combinations.

I combined the Joyful Wreath Die-namics from the October release with the Jingle All the Way stamp set to create an interactive card.

I stamped a Blueberry panel with the Ho Ho Ho Background using After Midnight Premium Dye Ink, then heat embossed a greeting from the Hand-Lettered Holiday stamp set. I cut out a circle opening from the panel using the Circle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and added the wreaths and berries cut with the Joyful Wreath Die-namics.
I made a double slider mechanism under the panel using the Double Slider Loop Slots Die-namics. My pull tab was cut with a die from the Launch Party Die-namics, and I added a Santa from the Jingle All the Way stamp set to the mechanism. When the tab is pulled down, the hidden Santa pops up as you see in the photo below.

If you'd like to know the basics of the double slider mechanism, HERE is a tutorial video by Karolyn. And THIS video by Jeniffer McGuire is also helpful.

The new MFT Card Kit, Snow Globe Greetings is now available for purchase!

I have a simple card to share with you today.

First I made a horizontal card base with Blueberry CS and heat embossed a sentiment from the Snow Globe Greetings Stamp Set with Princess Gold embossing powder. I inked around the sentiment with After Midnight Premium Dye Ink to get a glowing effect. Once the ink dry, I spattered it with some white paint.

I die cut the foliage out of Green Room and Field Day CS using the Mistletoe Kisses Die-namics, cut off some of the stems, and layered. I added some white pearls for berries. A little bow cut from Red Hot CS finished off the card.

Let It Snow Shaker Card - MFT October Card Kit Countdown

October 21, 2019

It's the second day of the MFT October Card Kit Countdown. Today I'm going to share a shaker card with you that features the Tall Snow Globe Die-namics as well as the Tall Shaker Pouches from the Snow Globe Greetings Card Kit.

I used the Scenic Snow Globe Die-namics to create a scene inside of my snow globe. I stamped and gold embossed a sentiment from the Snow Globe Greetings Stamp Set onto the sky.

The Kraft panel was stamped with the Knitted Sweater Background using Natural Premium Dye Ink and was cut with the second large die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics. I added a Smooth White panel underneath the Kraft panel, then mounted it on a Red Hot card base.
The snow globe base was cut out of Milk Chocolate CS. I wrapped some bakers twine around it and added a bow before I adhered the base to the panel.

The Snow Globe Greetings Card Kit will be available for purchase tomorrow at 10 am EDT. Make sure you visit the MFT blog for the full reveal of the kit and for more inspiration from the DT.

Merry Kissmas - MFT October Card Kit Countdown

October 20, 2019

It's time to begin the MFT October Card Kit Countdown. This month's kit is called Snow Globe Greetings, and it will be available for purchase on October 21 at 10:00 am EDT. Make sure you stop by the MFT blog today and tomorrow as the DT members are sharing gorgeous projects using the kit for your inspiration!

I made a window card for today. To create the front of my card, I cut a panel of Kraft CS using the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and stamped it with the Whimsical Woodgrain Background using Versa Mark Ink. I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, then daubed some Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink over it to add some vintage feel. I adhered the panel to a Smooth White card base and cut out a window using the Tall Snow Globe Die-namics included in the kit.

I stamped a sentiment from the Snow Globe Greetings Stamp Set on Red Hot CS, heat embossed with Princess Gold Embossing Powder, and cut out with the Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics. I'm so in love with the font of the Snow Globe Greetings Stamp Set! It's so delicate and elegant, and it looks gorgeous when it is heat embossed in metallic colors.

Here is the inside of the card.

I blended Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink on a Smooth White panel and spattered some gold spray for the background. I die-cut foliage three times using the Mistletoe Kisses Die-namics, made into a bunch, and added the berries. I also added a little bow and a gold sequin.
I stamped a sentiment from the Bitty Holiday Wishes Stamp Set in Black Licorice, which won't be seen when the card is closed.

Interactive Holiday Card - MFT October Vault Release

October 15, 2019

The MFT Vault has opened again! Several stamps and Die-namics are re-released with some updates, and this month, two BB stamp sets have returned!! Make sure you stop by the MFT blog for the full reveal of this month's Vault Release products and for more inspiration from the DT.

I made an interactive card using the Toasty Greetings stamp set & Die-namics for today.

The little penguin looks like he wants to catch the toasted marshmallow. Pull up the tab and see if he can get them. ;)

He tries again and again. Never give up! LOL!
To create my background, I blended Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks on watercolor paper and spritzed some white paint over it. Once the inks dry, I cut it with the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and made a simple slider mechanism using the Spin & Slide Channels Die-namics and the Interactive Pull Tabs Die-namics. I adhered the panel to a Smooth White card base with foam tape.

I stamped the images on No-Line Coloring CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink, colored with Copic Markers, and cut out with the matching dies. I adhered them to the panel, then added some shadow on the ground with a Copic Marker.
The sentiment was heat embossed on Blue Yonder CS and cut out with a die from the Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics. I added it to the panel with thin foam squares.

You Make My Holidays Jolly - October 2019 MFT & Friends

October 8, 2019

It's time to shop!! The MFT October Release is live and available HERE.

Today I'd like to share another holiday card with you that features the new Christmas sELFies stamp set, as well as the Snowy Scene Builder Die-namics.

I started my card by creating my background panel. I heat embossed the Snowfall Background on a panel of watercolor paper and blended some Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Saphire) over it to make a winter night sky. I die cut a polaroid frame out of it, adhered the panel to a card base, and added the house and trees cut with the Snowy Scene Builder Die-namics along the bottom edge.

I stamped a selfie image from the Christmas sELFies stamp set on No-Line Coloring CS with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I added it to the polaroid frame from the back and mounted on the background panel with foam tape, adding another frame cut from Smooth White CS. I heat embossed the "HAPPY HOLIDAYS", which is from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set, on Wild Cherry CS, cut it with the Skinny Strips Die-namics, and added it to the frame. I stamped another sentiment on the background panel with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.
