Spotlight Coloring & 3D Flower - Final Countdown to MFT's November Release

November 5, 2019

It's the final day of the MFT November Release Countdown. All the new products we've been showcasing these past five days will be available for purchase tomorrow at 10 am EST!

My card today features the Fantasy Florals Stamp Set & Die-namics and the Believe Die-namics.

The Fantasy Florals stamp set gives your card design a huge impact. It must be so beautiful and gorgeous when it is colored, no matter what medium is used. But, honestly, I was too lazy to color up the whole image, and I was afraid of wasting my time to mess up this beautiful image. So, I decided to go with an easy way to save my time and energy. LOL!

First, I stamped the image onto a panel of Natural CS to decide where my focal point should be. Then I added some faux ink splatters using the Distressed Patterns stamp set and Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. (Let me say it again. I was too lazy. So I didn't want to pull out my watercolors.)
I stamped the flowers again, this time onto No-Line Coloring CS with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I cut it out with the matching die and adhered to the Natural panel. The panel was mounted to a card base along with thin strips of Gold Sparkle CS and patterned paper.

I stamped only the top right portion of the image three times, cut out a flower partially with scissors, and lightly colored with Copics. (It took me just a few minutes. Yay!) I curved the petals using a petal shaper and layered them as shown in the photo above. I also colored the leaves and buds beside the colored flower.
After adding a die-cut "Believe", I added shimmer to the petals with a shimmer pen to finish off the card.

Head on over to the MFT blog to see all the products revealed today and for more inspiration from the DT. Remember that you'll have a chance to win a prize by leaving a comment on today's post on the MFT blog.
